Home Watch Services
Home & Away Home Watch
We will start with a face-to-face meeting at your property and determine what package is best for you. Home watch packages and contracting are flexible and designed to meet your individual needs. We recommend checks to your property on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
After each visit you will receive a comprehensive inspection report as well as photos from the visit. Should any issues be identified, we’ll work with you to get them addressed.
Your personal Home & Away Home Watch package may include us checking any or all of the following, or may include other services not listed here.
Interior Home Watch Services
Security & Safety. Security system is functioning; fire/smoke/C02 alarms; timers on lights; that all lightbulbs on timers are functioning; that windows and doors are secure
Environment. Temperature/humidity settings; unusual odors or sounds; test HVAC, AC or heating system; air filters when they are accessible; water main valve
Uninvited Visitors. Look for signs of vandalism, inspect for the presence of pests or insects
Systems. Water leaks; run water in all sinks and tubs; flush toilets; refrigerator/wine refrigerator & freezer for proper temperature settings; garbage disposal; electrical breaker panel; water heater & recirculation pump for leaks; ceilings, walls & floors for abnormal conditions
Exterior Home Watch Services
Mail. Remove junk mail and other debris from your mailbox and around the front door area; forward mail to you if requested
Uninvited Visitors. Look for signs of vandalism or squatters; inspect for the presence of pests or insects
Security & Safety. Windows, garage doors; gates; perimeter walls; fences
House. visual inspection of the exterior of your home (i.e., siding, roof, gutters, outdoor furniture, grills, planters); landscaping; decks/sheds/other structures
Vehicle(s). Battery, tires, leaking fluids, run engine (if requested)
Concierge & Keyholder
Deliveries. You contact Hannaford-to-Go before your return, and we will coordinate delivery & put your groceries away; accept deliveries on your behalf
Access. Provide contractors, vendors and cleaners access to your home, with or without supervision
Accountability. Provide updates on any project progress, documenting and sending photos of updates, and if requested, we will stay in your home while services are being performed to ensure work is completed to your satisfaction
Storm-Related
Pre-Storm. We will complete pre-storm preparation as needed
Post-Storm. As soon as we can get to your property after a storm, we will perform exterior inspections and interior if the home is accessible
Realtor/Relocation/Senior Relocation
Interior and exterior inspections while properties are vacant, or under contract and not yet sold
Home Watch Services Reporting
Home and Away Home Watch uses the HomeWatchIT management and reporting system. This system allows us to create a customized checklist for each of our clients based on National Home Watch Association best practices and their preferences and needs.
The reports are geo-location time stamped so you know when we were at your home. Additionally, our checklist report provides the capability to include pictures of problems we find. Upon completion we will send you a copy of the report and you will have access through our report portal.
